This is a pictorial history of my transition from male to female.
This is what I looked like waaaaay back in 1983. My fraternity picture (Phi Kappa Psi). Facial hair? What facial
hair? I like to scare my electrologists with this picture.
May of 1998. First day of work at The Aerospace
Corporation in Chantilly, VA. Balding, moustached, over weight. Just a
typical engineer.
October of 1999. Picture was taken while I was on a trip
to Hawaii. First time in a very long time that I didn't have a moustache - you can see some major hair loss, a nasty
looking amount of facial hair and that I was seriously overweight. I came out to my wife about 3 days after this picture was taken. Not
a happy time of my life.
August of 2001. Losing weight and
on hormones. Hair is coming back. Moustache is gone for good.
People at work are starting to wonder what the heck is going on.
This is what I looked like in April of 2002. Clear progress. Facial hair is much
lighter. Hair transplants growing out nicely. I went full-time a couple of weeks
after this picture was taken. Everyone knows what I'm doing at this point.
Me in August of 2003. (caught me in the middle of blinking, so my eyes look funny)
6 months post-op. Hair is getting longer. Almost no facial hair. All the major stuff is
over, people are getting used to the new me. I'm just living life.
At Colorado Gold Rush, February 2004. First time wearing a gown! Very fun time.
March 20th, 2004. First day out of the hospital after Facial Feminization Surgery!
Clearly it was a big ordeal! (I know it looks pretty nasty - it didn't feel so wonderful either!) I'm a little over
a year post-op from SRS. Have been living and working as a woman for almost two years now. FFS was
just a finishing touch.
October 2nd, 2004. Final dinner at the Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta. A reasonably flattering picture - though I think it does make
me look fat. Over all - FFS has done wonders for my self confidence! Thank you Dr. Ousterhout!
October 29th, 2005. Picture of me at the TGEA Halloween party.
